Form Tutors

My name is Miss S-K Jones and I'm the Deputy Leader of Learning in English. I lead English in Aspire and teach all key stages - from year 8 to year 12! I'll be going into my seventh year at Lliswerry in September and have worked in Cardiff and London for eleven years in total before that. I'm a huge rugby fan and lover of books and drawing too. I'm very much looking forward to meeting all of you in September (if you haven't already seen me in the corridors this term!).

My name is Mrs James- Williams and I have taught at Lliswerry High School for 23 years! I am Head of Performing Arts and a Drama teacher. I really enjoy the role of being a form tutor as I feel it is so important for learners to feel safe and secure at school and have a friendly face to see each morning.

Siwmae, I am Miss Horan and I am a Year 7 form tutor and Welsh Teacher. This will be my first year at Lliswerry and so I am looking forward to beginning my Lliswerry journey along with my form students. I hope you're all excited as I am and I cannot wait to meet you all in September

My name is Mr Herbert and I am in charge of the year 7 project team. I am also a year 7 form tutor and project teacher. Next year will be my sixth year at Lliswerry. At Lliswerry, I have taught English, literacy, history and psychology. This will be my fourth as a year 7 form tutor. This means I am very familiar with some of the worries that you may have as you move up to High School. It's a new and exciting time for you and I look forward to meeting you in September.

My name is Mrs Jones and I teach project to year 7 pupils at Lliswerry High. I am also a year 7 form tutor and I will be here to help you settle at school in September. I am very much looking forward to meeting you all and know that you will have a fantastic time at Lliswerry High School.

My name is Mr Thompson. I am also a year 7 form tutor and project teacher. Next year will be my tenth year at Lliswerry. At Lliswerry, I have taught English, literacy, media studies and religious studies. This will be my fourth as a year 7 form tutor. This means I have lots of experience with helping learners that are new to the school. High school will be a fabulous experience for you. I can't wait to meet you in September.

I am Miss Howells and I am a Year 7 form tutor and project teacher. Next year will be my third year at Lliswerry, a place where I have gone through my own transition. I began my journey at Lliswerry as an Teaching Assistant before becoming a project teacher and form tutor. Next year will be my second year as a form tutor. As I made the transition from a primary school teacher to secondary school teacher myself, I know all about the worries that you may have for the next chapter in your life. It’s an amazing journey to go on and I can’t wait to experience it beside you in September.
